NOTICE OF PRELIMINARY BUDGET HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the preliminary budget of the Town of Sparta for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2025 has been completed and filed in the Office of the Town Clerk at 8824 Route 256, Sparta, New York, where it is available for inspection by appointment or online at www.sparta-ny.org.

 

Further notice is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of Sparta will meet and review said preliminary budget and hold a public hearing thereon, at the Sparta Town Hall, located on Sparta Center Road in said town at 7:05 pm on the 12th day of November 2024 and that at such hearing any person may be heard in favor of or against any item or items therein contained.

 

Pursuant to Section 113 of the Town Law, the proposed salaries of the following Town Officers are hereby specified as follows:

 

Supervisor  $9,898.00

Town Justice  $3,278.00

Councilpersons (4@$2,607.75) $10,431.00

Town Clerk $16,000.00

Tax Collector  $3,000.00

Supt. of Highways  $74,500.00
